Lacy Mansion

Located at 1640 Main Street near Jackson Park in downtown Dubuque, Lacy Mansion is a beautiful historic Victorian home with deep roots in the community. Originally built in the late 1870s for prominent Dubuque attorney Frank M. Robinson, the mansion later became associated with the Lacy family following the marriage of Robinson's daughter, May, to attorney Benjamin W. Lacy. The family's longtime connection to the property gave the home its familiar name, Lacy Mansion. Known for its distinctive Second Empire architecture and rich local history, the mansion has served several purposes over the years. Today, it provides a unique and welcoming setting for community gatherings, celebrations, and special events.
